Naloxone nasal spray, known by the brand name Narcan, is used to temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. The FDA might make it available over the counter this year.

Spencer Troy Sternhagen, 34, of Emmons, was sentenced Aug. 4 in Renville County District Court to 107 months on prison on first-degree drug possession. He was convicted of breaking into a pharmacy in Renville and stealing more than 1,000 pills of prescription medications.
Minnesota has reached several other settlements with opioid companies over the last two and a half years that have brought the state hundreds of millions of dollars.
