Show producers cast pro actors alongside former inmates and prison employees to add authenticity
"Girl From the North Country," incorporating 20 Dylan songs, will play at the Orpheum Theatre in fall 2023.
Renville Friends of the Arts, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is performing "The Trip to Bountiful" this coming weekend. The play is a favorite of longtime FOTA member and regional actor Bev Raske, who is revisiting a role she played 10 years ago on the stage of the Barn Theatre.
Prairie Winds Concert Band, the Prairie Arts Chorale and Ridgewater College Theatre will all take the stage throughout the weekend to entertain.

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar on Monday visited the Barn Theatre in Willmar to showcase the Save Our Stages Act, which provided funding for arts and entertainment venues across the state. The Barn Theatre, New London Little Theatre and the Spicer Cinema all received funding.
A professional puppet artist from Heart of the Beast theater in Minneapolis is spending a month in New London as part of the town's first Small Stages Artist in Residency program. During this time, he'll hold puppet-making workshops while constructing a massive cyclops puppet and writing an original script for a play that will be presented Sept. 3-5 at the New London Little Theatre.
