More candidates are filing for office in Kandiyohi County and Willmar.
COVID-19 cases have continued to increase across the state, and more people are hospitalized, though the number of deaths has not increased significantly, according to Minnesota Department of Health udpates. The numbers are likely higher than the state is reporting, as home tests are not reported to the state.
Makayla Marie Oothoudt Willprecht and Hudeife Muhumed Mire are facing charges of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for allegedly providing Samantha Myers with the drugs that led to her overdose death in April. They were in court Thursday in Kandiyohi County.
U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar held a remote panel discussion on the storm and flooding damage across the state from last week’s storms. Invited to take part was the Mayor of Benson, which was hard-hit. Also on the panel were representatives from Stevens, Todd, Polk and Koochiching counties.
