WASHINGTON — A bipartisan bill that would help in the fight against the ever-increasing robocalls and scams has been reintroduced in the U.S. Senate.
MOORHEAD, Minn. — It's a merry Christmas for travelers as gas prices have dropped to their lowest levels of the year in the region. DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — A rural Ogema man has been arrested in the shooting death of a former Lake Park police chief who was traveling on a forest trail while hunting and was hit by a bullet in his vehicle. Morris Silas Dodd Jr. is in the Becker County Jail in Detroit Lakes on charges of second degree manslaughter and a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a release from Sheriff Todd Glander on Wednesday night, Nov. 28.

ST. CLOUD — Two men who harassed and then stole a vehicle belonging to a Lyft driver in St. Cloud died after they crashed the vehicle into a grove of trees southeast of the city early Tuesday morning, Nov. 13. According to a news release, the two men were picked up by a 46-year-old Lyft driver in the southeast part of town about 1 a.m. and he drove them around for a short period of time as they didn’t appear to know where they were going.
