Willmar declares snow emergency in downtown

A snow emergency in Willmar's downtown area begins at 10 p.m. Dec. 30.


WILLMAR — The city of Willmar has declared a snow emergency in its central business district beginning at 10 p.m. Dec. 30 and ending at 6 a.m. Dec. 31.

The area affected is from First Street Southwest to Seventh Street Southwest and from Trott Avenue to U.S. Highway 12.

Residents who normally park on downtown streets may use city parking lots may use city parking lots during the snow emergency. Any vehicles left on the streets will be towed at the owner's expense.
